City U12s rounded off pre-season in style with a superb 9–2 victory over Newry, another National League side, in their final warm-up match.

On an unusual grass surface, the boys adapted brilliantly and produced an outstanding display. They raced into a 4–0 lead by half-time, showing confidence, composure, and some clinical finishing.

The second half continued in the same vein, with City dominating possession and creating chance after chance. At 8–0, Newry pulled two goals back with long-range strikes, but the response was immediate, with City adding a ninth to seal an emphatic win.

This performance was the perfect way to close out pre-season and sets the team up nicely for their first taste of National League football next Saturday against Loughgall—one of the strongest sides in the county.
